The Non-Immigrant ‘O’ Retirement Visa is Thailand’s most popular long-term visa for retirees aged 50 and above.

It allows you to stay in Thailand for one year at a time, with the option to renew annually.

You must meet one of the following financial criteria:

• A bank deposit of at least 800,000 THB in a Thai bank account (held for at least two months before application).
• A monthly passive income of at least 65,000 THB (such as a fixed pension or fixed rental income from an investment property or retirement fund).
• A combination of bank balance and income that totals 800,000 THB per year.

The process happens in two stages:

1. First, you’ll receive a 90-day Non-Immigrant ‘O’ Visa, which typically takes 1 to 2 weeks to process if it is applied for using our service at a Thai Embassy outside of Thailand.
2. However, you can also apply for this 90-day Non-Immigrant ‘O’ Visa inside of Thailand using our service which generally takes 1-day to process.

From there, once you have your Non-Immigrant ‘O’ Visa secured, it is then time to apply for the 1-year extension, which must be done inside of Thailand. This typically takes 1-day when using our service.
