Formerly called the 'Elite Visa', the Thailand Privilege Card is a government-backed long-stay visa and membership program that grants foreigners legal status in Thailand for 5 to 20 years, depending on the package selected.

Membership packages range from 650,000 THB to 5,000,000 THB, depending on duration and included benefits. 

Here is a breakdown of each option: 

Bronze Tier (available until June 2025): 

• 650,000 Thai Baht 
• 5-Year Visa Validity 
• 0 Annual Privilege Points

Gold Tier: 

• 900,000 Thai Baht 
• 5-Year Visa Validity 
• 20 Annual Privilege Points

Platinum Tier: 

• 1,500,000 Thai Baht 
• 10-Year Visa Validity 
• 35 Annual Privilege Points

Diamond Tier: 

• 2,500,000 Thai Baht 
• 15-Year Visa Validity 
• 55 Annual Privilege Points 

Reserve Tier: 

• 5,000,000 Thai Baht
• 20 Year Visa Validity 
• 120 Annual Privilege Points

Privilege Points are a benefit included with your Thailand Privilege membership. Members receive an annual allocation of points (the exact amount depends on your membership tier), which can be redeemed for a wide range of services and experiences.

For example: 

• To get picked up at Koh Samui Airport and brought to your Accommodation in a nice, high-end SUV costs 1 Privilege Point
• Alternatively, a round of Golf at Siam Country Club in Pattaya would cost 3 Privilege Points 

The places, services, and activities that you can redeem these Privilege Points at are subject to change each year. 

All in all, the privilege points are a nice component of this Visa and Membership Program, but most of our clients purchase the Thailand Privilege Card to simply enjoy long-term, uninterrupted status in the Kingdom. They do not purchase a Privilege Card for the Point Redemption benefits. 

The Thailand Privilege Card is meant for those who want minimal bureaucracy in their lives and can afford that convenience. 

Here are some Examples and Case Studies:

Case #1: Remote Business Owner 

You’re a location-independent online business owner that makes USD $250K a year. You love Thailand and want to live here on a long-term basis. But when you look into Thailand’s LTR - Work From Thailand Professional Visa, you see that you don't qualify because your business isn’t publicly listed or doing $50M+ in revenue over the past 3-years. So, you also look into the new DTV visa but don't want a longer term option as to minimize stress and bureaucracy. Well, someone like this might be interested in the Thai Privilege Card.   

Case #2: Higher-End Retiree

You're 58-years old and have just retired. You're not ultra-wealthy or anything like that, but you have worked hard, worked smart, and accumulated a healthy Retirement Fund whose dividends of USD $70,000 per year are more than enough to live off based on your lifestyle. You want a true long-term stay option for your life in Thailand, but when you look into the LTR - Wealthy Pensioner, you realize you don't qualify because your passive income doesn't meet the financial threshold. Then, you look into the LTR - Wealthy Global Citizen Visa and even though you do have more than USD $1 Million in assets, you aren't interested in making an investment into the Thai Economy (Property, Thai Bonds, etc.). In this case, you might be interested in the Thailand Privilege Card. 

Final Thoughts: 

Ultimately, this Visa and Membership Program certainly is quite niche, but there are lots of different use-cases where someone might find it to be a great option. We help you determine that as part of our eligibility assessment. 

You cannot add Dependants/Spouse by default to your Thailand Privilege Card. Instead, you will get a discount for up to four dependants and will need to purchase Thailand Privilege Membership for them independently.  

Most of our clients do not opt to purchase additional Thailand Privilege Cards for their Spouse or Dependants.

• Instead, their children get their Thai Visas through the school that they're enrolled in. These are a Non-Immigrant 'ED' Visas.  
• And then their Spouse gets a Non-Immigrant 'O' Visa for the purpose of taking care of dependants (ie. the kids).
