Answers · Non-OA Retirement Visa
How do I get started?
The first step is a free Eligibility Assessment Call with the Thailand Blueprint team. This call is available if you are within five months of your intended move to Thailand. If you are more than five months away, Thailand Blueprint offers a paid 45-minute consultation with our Visa Director for 6,000 Thai Baht, or you can reach out by email at info@thailandblueprint.com any time for detailed written guidance at no charge.
The eligibility assessment for the OA covers your age and financial position, which financial method (deposit or pension) is most appropriate for your situation, which Thai Embassy or Consulate is the right one to apply through based on your location, your insurance situation and what purchasing a compliant policy will look like in your specific case, and whether the OA is actually the right visa for you relative to the Non-O or other alternatives.
The insurance question in particular is worth raising early, because securing a compliant Thai policy can take a little time and is something to plan for rather than leave until the last moment.
