Answers · Non-OA Retirement Visa
How long does the OA application process take?
The OA visa application typically takes approximately 15 business days to be processed and approved by the Thai Embassy or Consulate once the application is formally submitted. This stage happens entirely remotely, with Thailand Blueprint managing submission and tracking through the client portal (opens in a new tab).
Once approved, the visa is issued as a PDF e-Visa document which Thailand Blueprint sends to the client through the portal. The client saves this digitally and also prints a physical copy to carry when travelling to Thailand.
Because the entire process is Embassy-based and handled before you travel, there is no concentrated in-person window required in Thailand the way there is with the Non-O Retirement Visa. You can be anywhere in the world (other than Thailand) for the duration of the application process.
